Introducing: Tutor Contributions!

In a nutshell: In order to build a stronger sense of community within the Yup Tutor Team, we would like to invite you to contribute to the Newsfeed in the form of discussion questions, polls or written pieces.

Perhaps the most unique aspect of being an online educator is working with a team of people who you may never have the chance to meet face-to-face. Yup imagetutors can be found all over the globe– but we are hoping to bring our team a little closer together by opening up the Yup Newsfeed to tutor-generated content!

We are excited to welcome your Newsfeed contributions in the following forms:

1. Propose a question to be answered by the tutor community that would stimulate meaningful discussion and encourage collaboration

Discussion prompts that spark relevant professional conversation (“How do you motivate a student that doesn’t want to engage?”)

Questions related to your area of expertise (“How do you approach teaching problems related to ______?”

Surveys/Polls (“What is your go-to online tool for ______?”)

These questions should be clear, relevant, and relatable to the community.

2. Help us get to know you on a personal level by telling us more about yourself

– Write an autobiographical piece that lets other tutors know who you are (Why did you become an educator? What are your passions?)

– Write an opinion piece/editorial that ties into the theme of education (What is your opinion of the current educational system in your country? How has technology shaped the way you teach?)

All tutor-generated Newsfeed posts will support comment submissions, money-iconand contributors are expected to interact with comments left on their Newsfeed post. Each month, the contributor with the highest level of engagement via the comment section will be rewarded with a $25 bonus!

To get involved with this exciting new venture, send your post proposals to tutor.support@yup.com. We look forward to hearing from you– let’s bring this incredible community of educators a little closer together!
