Post-Session Comments
Teachers can now directly see your post-session comments about students!
Thank you for continuing to write comments that accurately depict student engagement levels in your sessions. And we appreciate you ensuring your comments are fair and polite since teachers will see them as they are written!
Here is an awesome comment that has every element we look for: the engagement score, the student’s strength and area for growth, and a recommendation for how the student can improve their sessions with rationale justifying the importance of doing so.
“5 – The student solved the problem independently, and we worked on an extension problem. They struggled a bit on the extension problem, and when I asked to solve a similar problem, they said they have to go. I recommend that they solve similar problems to understand the concepts in more depth.”
Tutor Spotlight
We are introducing a new program called the Tutor Spotlight!
Every two weeks, Sharon will pick a tutor to highlight during our weekly Yup HQ Team meeting. We’d love for everyone to have a chance to be highlighted in these meetings so please nominate yourself by telling us about your best student interaction in the past couple weeks!
Best interaction can be anything – it’s up to you! Maybe you sent a great image, or an effective explanation, or you said something to a discouraged student that helped them get through the rest of the session. Maybe the student says something super nice to you!
Every two weeks, Sharon will review submissions and pick one to highlight. The winner will be highlighted in our meeting and in the newsfeed and will receive a $25 bonus!
